The Cincinnati Bengals extended Marvin Lewis through the 2016 season.
Marvin Lewis won't be a lame duck in 2015.
The Cincinnati Bengals announced a one-year extension to coach Marvin Lewis that keeps him in Cincinnati throughout the 2016 season.
This is a curious move by the Bengals as Lewis failed to build off of the AFC North title the Bengals won in 2013, but instead placed second in the division and suffered yet another one and done, increasing his playoff record to 0-6. While Lewis has fielded some of the more physically talented teams in the NFL over the years, he has failed to achieve greater success and might be better suited as a defensive coordinator.
