For the first time since the pandemic began, the Baltimore Ravens staff were able to gather in person for a community event, volunteering their time to help two local elementary schools.
"The impact of this moment will be measured after in memories and learning in all of the spaces that you were designing today, so we appreciate you and welcome to our campus," said Monica McClain, principal of Edgecombe Circle Elementary School, as she welcomed Ravens mascot Poe and dozens of Baltimore Ravens staff.
One group spent their time planting and mulching for an outdoor classroom, while another worked on a peace and meditation room for a school dealing with more than COVID-19.
