The Baltimore Ravens secondary was absolutely loaded headed into the 2019 season, headlined by their splash Free Agency signee safety Earl Thomas. Thomas was joining a secondary that had terrific talents like Marlon Humphrey, Jimmy Smith, Tavon Young, and Tony Jefferson. The unit was so deep that it was easy to overlook key role players like Chuck Clark until it needed him most.
Clark was seen as a roster bubble candidate after being a sixth-round pick back in 2017. The Ravens have had plenty of talented safeties play ahead of Clark during his tenure with the team, which made finding meaningful snaps difficult.
