BALTIMORE -- There was finally an Austin Howard sighting, six days after the veteran offensive tackle signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
Unfortunately for the Ravens, Howard was spotted along the sideline -- and still not on the field -- for Thursday night's preseason opener.
Howard has yet to suit up for the Ravens since signing a three-year, $15 million deal on Friday. Coach John Harbaugh's only explanation is Howard has yet to be cleared by trainers, and Howard didn't offer much more details than that.
"The coaches and the training staff came in with a certain protocol for me to do, and I have my trust in them," Howard said in the locker room in his first comments since joining Baltimore.
