Linebackers University!
That’s what the Ravens linebackers were when Ray Lewis was in his prime. Baltimore was to linebackers what the Atlanta Braves were to pitchers.
Ray made players around him better given his pre-snap recognition skills and his ability to realign teammates, placing them in better positions to succeed. It’s ironic in a way that in 2020, as it stands today, the Ravens LB room is uncharacteristically barren at the moment. But there’s still time to augment the roster and find players with the skillsets to fit the moving parts of a Wink Martindale scheme.
