When Chris Givens made a 39-yard, over-the-shoulder catch in the second quarter of the Ravens' victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, he leaned on lessons learned from teammate Steve Smith Sr. during recent practices.
Smith has been trying to get Givens to use leverage more in his routes and not be so robotic. On the third-down play against the Chargers which resulted in a key first down during a touchdown drive, it all came together for the fourth-year receiver.
