There has been a ton of speculation regarding how new Defensive Coordinator Mike Macdonald will — excuse the incoming pun here — tackle the presumed wealth of talent in his defensive backfield, along with a perceived lack of pass-rush weapons at his disposal on the edges. Good, and big, questions, for sure. But there is one other little puzzle that has been on my mind lately — and it is made of beef.
In reality, it’s made up of very large men. Right now, a peek at the Ravens roster tells me that the down linemen I can see coming out of camp, barring injuries, are Brent Urban, Calais Campbell, Travis Jones, Justin Madubuike, Michael Pierce and Broderick Washington.
