The drafting of Justice Hill is bad news for every Baltimore Ravens running back not named Mark Ingram. Ingram is used to working in tandem with other running backs, and his spot in the offense is secure. The player that this pick impacts the most is Gus Edwards. Edwards could find himself as the odd man out of the shuffle. He’s the downhill running back who runs hard. Ingram is going to fill that role.
Edwards is now the least versatile of the running backs. Kenneth Dixon can offer the same downhill running but is a good receiver out of the backfield.
