If the Ravens defense is on the field, Patrick Onwuasor needs to be able to be on the field. He needs to hog snaps on the defensive side of the football. Onwuasor’s goal should be to show the Ravens that in any situation he is the best player to be in the heart of the defense. He needs to be able to cover and he needs to be able to make stops in the backfield. Onwuasor is now a leader of the defense.
He is the natural successor to C.J. Mosley. That means Onwuasor is filling the shoes of a three time Pro Bowl linebacker.
