The Ravens have a whopping 27 free agents this offseason, but, as opposed to past years, there aren’t many marquee names on the list.
That’s because General Manager Ozzie Newsome got a head start with players that were scheduled to hit the market in March. He’s already reached contract agreements with cornerback Jimmy Smith, safety Will Hill, punter Sam Koch and backup quarterback Ryan Mallett.
Last year, the Ravens lost wide receiver Torrey Smith, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, tight end Owen Daniels and backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, just to name a few.
