Two Baltimore police officers were indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday for misconduct and other charges that stemmed from separate cases.
Officer Kevin Hilton was charged with second degree assault and misconduct in office from an incident that occurred on North Paxson Street in May 2021. He's accused of assaulting a man he was trying to arrest.
Hilton faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if found guilty.
The jury also indicted officer Unique Sheppard for wear/carry/transport of a handgun, misconduct in office and conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence from an incident that occurred in March.
