The Baltimore Ravens have given one of their starting safeties a two-year contract extension.
Will Hill was the team's best safety last season and the Ravens rewarded him with a two-year extension.
"It means a lot to me," Hill told ESPN. "I wanted to be a Raven. This extension gives me a lot of confidence on the playing field. It helps me see what the organization thinks of me."
Hill had off-the-field issues in the past, getting suspended by the NFL three times in his first three seasons. The New York Giants cut him after he was suspended for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The Ravens picked him up afterwards.
The two-year extension shows the Ravens have some trust in Hill.
