The Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs in four of the past five seasons. They've won one Super Bowl in that time. This season, the Ravens are looking to make it two Super Bowls in four years. The Ravens play in the tough AFC North, but have proven in the past they can compete in the division. Here are three things to watch out for this week during training camp.
When Will Breshad Perriman Return?
The Ravens first round pick has been out since July 30th with a knee injury. He's progress has been slow, with the Ravens even giving him another MRI. With WR Torrey Smith now in San Francisco, Baltimore needs Perriman to step up. Without Perriman, the Ravens lack a true deep threat.
Can Arthur Brown Continue To Improve?
A second round pick in 2013, Brown has failed to make an impact during his first two NFL seasons. He's had just 15 tackles in his two seasons, and his roster spot could be in jeopardy. However, he's drawn recent praise following his six-tackle performance in the preseason opener. He's now working with the second-team defense, instead of the third-team.
Who Will Win The TE Battle?
It's a three-man race to start at TE for the Ravens. Maxx Williams was a second round pick out of Minnesota in the most recent NFL Draft. He's talented, but might need some time to adjust. Crockett Gilmore was a third round pick from Colorado State two years ago, but didn't play much in his rookie season. Dennis Pitta is the most experienced, but has been unable to stay healthy in recent seasons. The battle will likely continue throughout the preseason and possibly extend into the regular season.
