Baltimore got off to a good start and scored a touchdown on their first possession, but four Jacksonville field goals gave them a 12-10 lead after the first half. The Ravens took the lead back with a touchdown in the third quarter, and then sealed the game with a field goal in the final minute.
Turning Point:
The Jaguars were driving late in the fourth quarter with a chance to take the lead, but turned it over on downs. Baltimore then drove down the field, milking away the rest of the clock.
Key Stat:
Despite Jacksonville's success in moving the ball down the field, the Ravens' defense didn't allow a single touchdown. That allowed their offense to continue to follow their gameplan and score enough points to win.
Baltimore MVP:
Quarterback Joe Flacco continues to be the steady rock that leads the Ravens offense, completing 20/30 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown.
Jacksonville MVP:
Kicker Josh Scobee was the only Jaguar to put points on the board in this one, so he gets this award. He finished 4/5 on field goals on the day, including two from 53-yards away.
What’s Next?
Baltimore will host the Houston Texans next weekend, while Jacksonville returns home to face the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.
