The Baltimore Ravens took control of this game early and never gave it back. Four first-quarter touchdown passes from Joe Flacco led to a 28-0 lead, and the Ravens never had to worry about losing that lead.
The Buccaneers did show signs of life in the third quarter by scoring 17 straight points, but that game was too out of reach at the point for it to mean anything.
Turning Point: Nothing changed this game more than that first quarter. The Ravens were leading 28-0, and the Buccaneers had well under 50 yards of total offense. Baltimore put it on cruise control from that point on as Tampa Bay never put up a challenge.
Key Stat: Both sides actually finished relatively even in most categories in the box score, except for that giant 28-0 first quarter. The game was over after 15 minutes and really made everything that happened after that unimportant.
Baltimore MVP: Quarterback Joe Flacco was absolute on fire at the start of this game, and never looking back. He completed 21 of his 29 pass attempts for 306 yards and five touchdowns and no interceptions.
Tampa Bay MVP: Mike Glennon sparked a 17-0 run for the Bucs in the third quarter, which was the only good thing Tampa Bay did all day. He finished 24-44 for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
What’s Next? Baltimore faces the Redskins as they'll try to keep pace in the crowded AFC North, while Tampa Bay has a bye week to regroup before trying to get their second win of the season against Minnesota.
