After a World Series Game 1 in which the Dodgers saw their chances of beating the Red Sox diminished by a dagger of a home run from Eduardo Nunez, the two teams are back in action on Wednesday night to determine whether Boston takes a 2-0 lead across the country to Los Angeles or whether the teams will switch venues with a 1-1 tie.
Perhaps in an attempt to remind the country of that short period of time where the Red Sox were not hated with equal fervor to the Yankees, they are having a bunch of 2004 guys throw out a bunch of “first pitches” before tonight’s game.
