RHP Gerrit Cole vs. RHP Jack Flaherty
Jack Flaherty is starting Game 1 of the World Series. Just like every Orioles fan would have predicted after watching him last year. Flaherty, after his ill-fated 2023 stint with the Birds, has had an excellent 2024 season first with Detroit and now the Dodgers, although the club is said to be “moderately concerned” about his dip in velocity in his most recent start in the NLCS.
