And now, less than two weeks before the regular season begins, Brian Matusz's nagging back injury has left the Orioles devoid of situational left-handed relief options, and the club is scrambling for bullpen help.
Matusz will likely open the season on the disabled list with a lower back strain on his right side that has limited him to two outings this spring. That leaves the Orioles needing to find a reliever who can get left-handed hitters out in a pinch.
