Dean Kremer will take the mound tonight for the first time since May 20. Kremer needed three rehab starts after missing a month with a triceps strain. He threw 75 pitches last week at Norfolk, so five innings feels like a practical goal tonight.
The Orioles optioned Nick Vespi to make room for Kremer. Yennier Cano, Cionel Pérez and Craig Kimbrel all pitched last night, but the trio could still be available after throwing less than 20 pitches against the Mariners.
All-Star starters Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman will get the party started for Baltimore. Ryan O’Hearn, Ryan Mountcastle, Anthony Santander and Jordan Westburg all came up short in the All-Star finals, but they will make up the heart of the order this evening.
