Good morning, Camden Chatters.
We may well see the Orioles play in the postseason this year. But it’s starting to feel like they won’t have anyone available to pitch once they get there.
The unrelenting injury monster that has plagued the 2024 Orioles claimed yet another victim yesterday, as Zach Eflin — who has been a revelation for the Birds since they acquired him from the Rays at the trade deadline — landed on the IL with shoulder inflammation. Sigh. It never ends.
Eflin had been a perfect 4-0 with a 2.13 ERA in his four starts with the Birds, stabilizing a staff that has already been robbed of several of its best arms over the course of the season.
