Good morning, Birdland!
The 2020 MLB Draft concluded less than a week ago, but the Orioles have already made progress on signing their class. Fourth-round pick Coby Mayo, a high school third baseman out of Florida, has publicly said he has agreed to a deal. And there are reports that fifth-rounder Carter Baumler, a high school pitcher, has privately agreed to sign on with the O’s. That is a great news!
Now, we wait for the other shoe to drop. There has been very little talk about first-round pick Heston Kjerstad, the outfielder from the University of Arkansas.
