Veteran outfielder Eric Young Jr. unpacked his Los Angeles Angels equipment bag on Sunday morning and explained to a small group of reporters why a 33-year-old guy signed a minor league contract to play for one of the youngest teams in the majors.
There’s not much chance that he’ll be around when the budding Orioles rebuilding project comes to fruition, but he said that he has something to offer that might help them get there.
“I love helping the younger players,’’ Young said.
