Two HRs over Great Wall doom Orioles as Baltimore drops series finale 6-3 against Astros

Two solo home runs in the 7th off Burch Smith killed any dreams of another Orioles comeback win, as the Orioles dropped the series finale to the Astros 6-3.

After a pitchers duel through the game’s first three innings, the O’s fell behind 3-0 in the 4th thanks to a two-out rally from the Astros. After wearing out Orioles pitching on Friday and Saturday, Houston SS Jeremy Peña started the rally with a two-out single to CF. With Peña taking off on a 0-1 pitch, C Victor Caratini lined a single into the left-center gap and the speedy shortstop beat Colton Cowser’s throw to the plate, giving Houston a 1-0 lead.
