Tuesday night Orioles game thread: vs. Rays, 7:05

The Orioles welcome the third-place Tampa Bay Rays to Camden Yards tonight for the start of a three-game series.

Matt Harvey is on the bump for the O’s, and he’ll try to erase the memory of his previous start when he allowed seven runs over 4.1 innings against the Mets at Citi Field. It would be very beneficial to Baltimore’s bullpen if Harvey could work deep into the game tonight. His longest start this season was six innings. In four starts this year at home, Harvey has a 3.20 ERA and 1.17 WHIP.

The Rays will counter with 21-year-old right-hander Luis Patino, who broke into the majors last year with the Padres and has never faced the O’s before.
