Divisions aren’t won or lost in June. But you can’t escape the feeling that there’s a whole lot on the line as the Orioles and Yankees face off for the next three games.
The O’s, the second-best team in the American League, have the misfortune of sharing a division with the best team, the Yankees. The Birds, despite playing exceptionally well pretty much all season, still find themselves looking up in the AL East standings at the Yanks, who took over first place on May 15 and haven’t loosened their grip since. They just keep winning, those jerks.
