BALTIMORE -- Mark Trumbo did not start in Sunday's series finale against the Red Sox, as the outfielder/designated hitter is dealing with a sore right knee.
"Mark's knee's barking on him a little bit," said manager Buck Showalter. "I don't like some of the characteristics, so we're going to try to give him most of the second game last night, today and tomorrow. He'll probably get an injection today if I don't use him. We'll see when the doctor gets here."
Trumbo, who came into Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader in the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter, should be back for the series against the Mets on Tuesday.
