Trey Mancini is cancer-free and ready to get back on the field

Orioles outfielder Trey Mancini had to take time off after being diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, but now he's doing better, and ready to get back on the field.

In a Zoom call on Wednesday, Mancini shared the status of his health with reporters. He stated that he's ready for opening day in 2021, and that there's no sign of tumor DNA in his bloodwork.

“There is no reason for me to believe if Spring Training started tomorrow, that I wouldn’t be ready to go. Because I would,” MLB reports Mancini said. “When I get there in February, I really think everyone will look at me and not think anything happened, if they didn’t know what happened.
