A 19-year-old suspect charged in connection to a fatal Towson shooting was in court Monday for a separate murder case in Baltimore City.
Freedom Brown and co-defendant Devon Pailin are being tried together on first-degree murder charges. They are accused of killing a 24-year-old man during an armed robbery in 2021.
A jury was seated on Thursday. The court began hearing evidence in the case on Monday.
The alleged robbery took place in the middle of the afternoon on June 18, 2021, in the 3800 block of Derby Manor Drive in Baltimore. Tyrell Johnson-Woods' family was in court as the trial began.
