Today Marks One Year Since Empty Game At Camden Yards

Today marks a unique, yet poignant anniversary in Baltimore history.

Four days after the Freddie Gray riots, the Orioles hosted the White Sox in an empty Camden Yards. The 8-2 Orioles victory turned out to be just a side note.

Players and coaches noted how eerie the silence was inside the park, but they hoped the surreal event would help the grieving city by being a distraction.

One year later, the Orioles host the White Sox again at Camden Yards, but this time with many more in attendance.
