Tillman and Yovani Gallardo -- who threw his second bullpen session on Tuesday -- are both close to making their respective Grapefruit League debuts, perhaps as early as next week. Showalter said Tillman is tentatively slated for March 9 or 10.
• Nolan Reimold served as designated hitter in Wednesday's game, as Baltimore is taking it very cautious in regards to his right shoulder. Reimold doesn't have a specific injury, but Showalter said the O's are trying to rest it early on in camp.
• Given the length of Tuesday's 10-inning game, the Orioles brought a trio of Minor League pitchers on Wednesday: David Hess, Joe Gunkel and Donnie Hart.
