Hello, friends.
The Orioles. (sigh) The series in St. Louis turned into a real stinker, with nothing much ever getting going for the offense, with often-reliable pitchers not coming through when called upon, with rain delays and postponements throwing everything out of whack, and on top of that, in the second game yesterday, with Little League-level defense and baserunning at crucial moments propelling the team to a third consecutive loss and the ending of the regular season sweepless streak after just more than two years and 106 series played with at least one O’s win.
If you weren’t watching either on Tuesday night when that game started or on Wednesday afternoon when it finished and the Orioles went on to lose the regularly-scheduled game too, that’s probably for the best.
