One of the only nice things that there is to say about Chris Davis’s performance for the past three seasons or so is that he seems like he has a good outward attitude about everything, as long as we ignore the time that he tried to start a dugout altercation with manager Brandon Hyde last year.
The Orioles activated Davis from the injured list on Tuesday afternoon. The return of a player who was batting .122/.173/.184 when he went on the injured list after batting .179/.279/.326 last season is not exciting. The results that come from this move are not likely to be exciting either, unless the Bowie alternate site magic that’s been worked on some of the younger players takes effect on Davis.
