So far, July is shaping up to be a rough month for the Orioles. In nine games so far, they’re 4-5 with two series losses to below-.500 teams, including a three-game sweep by the fourth-place Cubs completed on Thursday night. They’ve lost four of their past five games, and their three-game AL East lead over New York has been whittled down to just 1 1/2 games as the Yankees come to town for a pivotal final three-game series before the All-Star Break.
It’s balmy out there, is that the problem?
On the numbers, the Orioles are playing some of their worst baseball all season.
