Orioles third baseman Manny Machado could win his second career Gold Glove on Tuesday night, when the fielding awards will be announced during a Baseball Tonight telecast on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
The Orioles had three Gold Glove winners in each of the past two years – and multiple winners for three years straight – but Machado is their only Gold Glove finalist. The Texas Rangers' Adrian Beltre and Tampa Bay Rays' Evan Longoria are the other two American League finalists at third base.
Seventy-five percent of the vote is culled from major league managers and coaches, who can’t vote for their own players.
