It’s no secret that the injury bug has arrived in Baltimore this season like a plague of locusts. With the recent announcement that Ryan Mountcastle is heading to the IL with a wrist injury, there’s now a whopping 12 members of the 40-man roster out with injuries. As Jacob Calvin Meyer of the Baltimore Sun noted, that means the Orioles have more players on the IL than wins in August.
While some of these players—such as pitchers Felix Bautista, Kyle Bradish and Tyler Wells—won’t make an appearance for the O’s until at least 2025, others can still shape the outcome of this season.
