Yes, I fully expect them to do something. Maybe a couple somethings. I’m saying an outfielder and a pitcher.
My money is definitely on landing an outfielder. As I reported Thursday, Milwaukee’s Gerardo Parra and Philadelphia’s Ben Revere are at the top of their list. There’s been speculation they could do both, but the Orioles aren’t deep when it comes to their minor league system.
They may have enough to do one, but unless other teams really are gung-ho on a certain player – or the Orioles lessen their stance to keep Mike Wright and Mychal Givens – they likely don’t have the depth for more than one trade of that type of magnitude (and I’m not talking major magnitude, either).
