BALTIMORE -- Jonathan Schoop has been struggling in 2018, but he's seen his production skyrocket since he was held out of the starting lineup for two straight games a week and a half ago.
Leading off the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Yankees, it appeared Schoop notched his third homer in nine starts since being benched, but a crew-chief review determined the ball had not quite left the yard, and Schoop was placed on second base with the overturned call.
After advancing to third on a groundout by Chris Davis, Schoop was stranded there as the Orioles were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.
