It isn’t easy going to a new team or a new league in the middle of the season, so it’s not particularly surprising that the Orioles who were dealt at or before the nonwaiver trade deadline are — for the most part — still feeling their way around.
Manny Machado was the first to go, so he has the biggest sample size after playing 16 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has done all right, batting .250 with two homers and five RBI in 64 at-bats entering Sunday’s game, but that obviously doesn’t compare with his performance before the deal.
