Some people say that the four-day long all-star break can kill a team’s momentum. Those people have never met the 2019 Baltimore Orioles. They picked up right where they left off by getting absolutely obliterated by the much more talented Tampa Bay Rays in the opening game of the baseball’s unofficial “second half.”
In all seriousness, the O’s were actually playing a bit better heading into the break. They looked like a team that belonged in the major leagues. Imagine that!
We should all absorb the current Orioles while we can. It’s quite likely that any player who is worth his salt will be gone in the next two weeks.
