Tonight, the Orioles are featured on FOX’s Saturday national broadcast for the second consecutive Saturday. It’s an unavoidable side effect of the Orioles being good. As an Orioles fan I am spoiled by the best broadcast team in the business, and when the Orioles are on national television I am deprived of Kevin Brown, Ben McDonald, and Jim Palmer. To make matters worse, they are replaced with the hard-to-listen-to John Smoltz.
I took a peek at the broadcast map for today’s broadcasts and it looks like only the Orioles fans in and around Chicagoland are out of luck.
