Good Morning, Birdland!
The less said about Friday night’s debacle the better. Nothing went well apart from Colton Cowser continuing to mash—now from the two hole—and Dillon Tate tossing two shutout innings. Every other Oriole had a tough night.
The opposite was true for the Brewers. The whole lineup was hitting, including Joey Ortiz. The former O’s prospect went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI, and a run scored. He’s got some big numbers (.928 OPS) to begin his 2024 campaign. Right now, both the O’s and Brewers have to be pretty happy with their late-offseason deal.
