Last night, Dan Straily pretty much delivered on our worst expectations, lasting just four and 1/3 innings and coughing up six runs. Worst of all in my eyes: he looked really, really, really hittable, the fastball living around 90-91 mph and everything in the middle of the plate. If you’re up to it, you can read all the details in Mark Brown’s recap.
Taking the mound and looking to regain momentum is Dylan Bundy. As I mentioned in this series’ preview, Bundy has been a mixed bag this season, although in his last start against Tampa, he pitched a shutout into the eighth inning and looked quite a lot like the Bundy we all hoped he would be.
