The Baltimore Orioles will promote top prospect Jackson Holliday to Triple-A Norfolk this week, according to multiple reports.
Mid-Atlantic Sports Network writer and broadcaster Steve Melewski was first to report the news on Sunday.
Holliday, 19, the top pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, is the No. 1-ranked prospect in baseball. The shortstop was promoted to Double-A Bowie in July, where he hit .338 with three home runs and 15 runners batted in.
The Orioles currently have six players ranked among the top 100 prospects in baseball. Infielder Jordan Westburg and outfielder Colton Cowser were called up by Baltimore this season.
