Pete's Take: Twins' Rancor Over Sisco's Bunt Is Ridiculous

It seemed innocent enough.

Jose Berrios pitched beautifully Sunday against the Birds, allowing just one hit through eight innings.

Then, in the ninth, trailing by seven runs with one out, rookie catcher Chance Sisco laid down a perfect bunt for a base hit. Nobody was at third base because the Twins had a defensive shift on to help ensure they could get Sisco out if he took a full swing. So they conceded a bunt hit, which Sisco took. Ultimately, the bases were loaded, so it sparked a rally attempt, one that ended with Adam Jones striking out.
