T.J. McFarland experiment at starter hit a curious bump last night as he lasted just 1 inning while surrendering 2 runs. The Norfolk Tides release about the game simply notes he had to exit after 1 inning of work, with no explanation. Hmm... The Tides threatened briefly in the 6th and made the score 3-2 Chiefs, who then promptly put 3 more runs on the board in the 7th off reliever Zach Phillips. Christian Walker went 1 for 4 while Trey Mancini went hitless in 4 ABS. No Tides player had more than 1 hit.
