O's can't back Rogers, fall short in Seattle

SEATTLE-- Rookie Josh Rogers allowed just two runs over 5 1/3 innings, but Baltimore managed only three hits in a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Monday night at Safeco Field.

Baltimore started the scoring when Jonathan Villar struck the right-field foul pole for his 12th home run of the season to lead off the fourth inning. But the Orioles recorded just one hit the rest of the night as they suffered their fourth loss in as many days.
