As the Orioles sent baseballs out of Camden Yards at a frenetic pace against the free-falling Philadelphia Phillies, they made history Tuesday night.
The Orioles set a franchise-record by hitting eight homers in a 19-3 rout of the Phillies -- their most lopsided win in nearly 15 years -- in front of an announced 26,964 at Camden Yards.
The Orioles' 19 runs scored and their 16-run margin of victory were the most since a 23-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sept. 28, 2000.
Two Orioles -- Manny Machado and Chris Parmelee -- had two homers each.
