Orioles' Tyler Wilson mostly upbeat despite rough start Thursday in Toronto

Orioles pitcher Tyler Wilson knew his outing against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday night at the Rogers Centre wasn’t one of his best. The rookie right-hander allowed five runs over 5 2/3 innings, including three in the first inning.

Wilson’s off-speed pitches failed him early, forcing him to give a fastball-feasting Toronto lineup more fastballs than he wanted to early. But Wilson has seen the Orioles come back more than once over the past 10 games, so despite falling behind early, faith was there that if he kept the game within reach, victory was possible.
