The Orioles on Tuesday acquired minor leaguers Natanael Delgado and Erick Salcedo from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for left-hander Chris Jones, who was designated for assignment off the 40-man roster on March 23.
Jones had appeared in three major league spring training games before being optioned to the minors on March 14, and was removed from the 40-man roster when the team signed left-handed reliever Zach Phillips.
Delgado, a 20-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic, made his full-season debut last season in Class-A Burlington, batting .241/.276/.355 with six home runs while playing primarily right field.
