The Baltimore Orioles need no fanfare for their upcoming special guest--he's already written quite a few of those himself.
Composer John Williams will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Monday, June 11 game against the Boston Red Sox. A five-time Academy Award winner (and the Academy's most-nominated living person), his work is the iconic sound of "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "Jurassic Park" and "Superman." Most recently, Williams penned some of the score for "Solo: A Star Wars Story." Williams has also won 24 Grammys, three Emmys and four Golden Globes.
Before the 7:05 p.m. game, members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's brass and percussion sections, led by Music Director Marin Alsop, will play selections from Williams' scores.
